This is my second post on my blog. Different with the previous post, i want to write about something is being done by me in this semester (7th semester) in my campus (Universitas Indonesia). I am doing my studies (S1) and one of students who received the Fast Track Scholarship to continue my studies (S2).

I am doing a thesis too (Skripsi for S1), it is about Reactivation of Activated Coal with Mechanochemical Activation as Hydrogen Storage Material. My thesis is one of research from my thesis supervisor.

This thesis consist of several stages, they are :

a. sample preparation

b. Mechanochemical Activation

c. Pelletizing of reactivated coal

d. Material Characterization

Now, I am preparing sample. This stage spends a lot of time, because i have to prepare the sample well for getting a good result and the pupose of this research which is developing new materials based activated carbon (from coal)  which can be used for hydrogen storage in Fuel Cell, is achieved. This stage consist of milling the sample and screening it to ensure the size of activated coal particles is in conformity with the required size (around 400 mesh).
